Using the app

After you've downloaded the app, enter your email and tap Start Shining.

Help us get to know you by entering your account settings and vehicle details.

Choose the plans you love and update your choices any time in My Garage.

Find your nearest Tommy's Express and start washing!

Add a Vehicle to My Account
  1. Download the app and install it on your device.
  2. Open the app and tap the navigation lines in the top right-hand corner.
  3. Tap My Garage.
  4. If you have multiple cars already added, scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap the "+" button that says Add Another Car?
  5. If you haven’t yet added any vehicles, tap the "+" button below the empty gargage.
  6. Fill out the vehicle information form entirely. Make sure your license plate is accurate!
  7. Tap Next.
  8. Select the Wash Plan you'd like, tap Next.
  9. Review and complete your purchase. You're done!
Cancel or Deactivate My Membership

  1. Download the app and install it on your device.
  2. Open the app and tap the navigation lines in the top right-hand corner.
  3. Tap My Garage.
  4. Tap Manage Subscription on the vehicle you'd like to cancel.
  5. Select Cancel Subscription.
  6. Follow the instructions in the dialogue (cancel, switch to pay per wash).
  7. Tap Finish.
  8. You should receive an email letting you know your subscription has been cancelled.

    9. You must cancel your membership prior to your renewal date to assure a stop on your automatic withdrawal. To confirm you have successfully deactivated, please check your email for a confirmation message. Each wash subscription must be individually cancelled on all vehicles listed in your account.
    If you are in the middle of a wash period, you will still be able to continue washing for the remainder of your billing period.

Add or Edit a Credit Card
  1. Download the app and install it on your device.
  2. Open the app and tap the navigation lines in the top right-hand corner.
  3. Tap Billing & History.
  4. Tap the credit card field at the top of the page.
  5. Edit your information.
  6. Tap Save.
Transfer My Plan to Another Vehicle

  1. Download the app and install it on your device.
  2. Open the app and tap the navigation lines in the top right-hand corner.
  3. Tap My Garage.
  4. Tap Manage My Subscription on the vehicle you need to change.
  5. Tap Transfer Plan To another Vehicle on the bottom left.
  6. Select or add the new vehicle you'd like to transfer your plan to.
  7. Tap Continue.
  8. Confirm your transfer.
Change My Wash Plan

  1. Download the app and install it on your device.
  2. Open the app and tap the navigation lines in the top right-hand corner.
  3. Tap My Garage.
  4. Tap Manage My Subscription on the vehicle you need to change.
  5. Tap Edit Wash Plan.
  6. Select your new plan type.
  7. Tap Save.

    8. Keep in mind that changing your plan takes effect immediately. Your account will retain your existing billing cycle based on your original signup date. If you are downgrading, we recommend you do not make the change until the day before your renewal, so that you may take advantage of the full month you have paid for. If you are upgrading, you will immediately receive a prorated charge based on your billing date.

Redeem a Coupon Code or Giftcard

  1. Download the app and install it on your device.
  2. If you already have a wash plan you'd like to apply the code to, open the app and tap the navigation lines in the top right-hand corner.
  3. Tap Add coupon.
  4. Enter the code or scan the QR code or card.
  5. Apply the plan you'd like to use the code on.
  6. Review and save your information.
  7. If you don't have a wash plan and need to add one, follow steps of "Add a vehicle to My Account"
  8. When selecting a plan after adding your vehicle details, enter the code on the line above Unlimited / Pay Per Wash toggle.
  9. The code will automatically select any applicable products. If there are no applicable products, you will need to select the plan type.
  10. Complete your purchase, noting the discount applied in checkout.
Sign Up for Pay Per Wash

  1. Download the app and install it on your device.
  2. Open the app and tap the navigation lines in the top right-hand corner.
  3. Tap My Garage.
  4. Add or select the vehicle you'd like to sign up with.
  5. Modify the toggle at the top of plan selection to "Pay per wash".
  6. Choose your pay per wash account.
  7. Tap Continue, Review your purchase details
  8. You will owe nothing on the day of sign up, and be charged when you visit a wash for the first time.
Pause my Membership

  1. Download the app and install it on your device.
  2. Open the app and tap the navigation lines in the top right-hand corner.
  3. Tap My Garage.
  4. Tap Manage My Subscription.
  5. Tap Pause Subscription.
  6. Read the instructions and select or add the vehicle you'd like to pause.
  7. Tap Continue.
  8. Tap the length of time you'd like to pause your account.
  9. Confirm your pause length and finish.
Renew / Reactivate My Account

  1. Download the app and install it on your device.
  2. Open the app and tap the navigation lines in the top right-hand corner.
  3. Tap My Garage.
  4. Under "Vehicles without subscription", tap Choose Wash Plan.
  5. Select the new plan you'd like to activate.
  6. Tap Continue, review your purchase details.
  7. Confirm your purchase.

How it works


When you pull up, license plate recognition software automatically matches your vehicle to your account.


Payments are automatically completed with your saved credit card information.

Cameras positioned behind your vehicle scan your license plate and detect the license plate number in seconds.


Remember, this only works if there's a clean, unobstructed view of your plate. Here are some factors that can slow down or stop this process.

Frames

Large license plate frames may cover parts of some characters, which could potentially turn a "B" into an "R", or an "E" into an "F".

Scratches or fading

If some parts of your license plate are scratched or faded, it can be difficult to detect the individual characters.

Excessive mud, dirt or snow

We won't have a problem getting your car cleaned up, but there's less chance our cameras will read your plate.
